Resistance to Change

Amidst the blue sky,
Amidst the blue sea,
Amidst the green fields and snowy mountains,
There is a strange feeling of serenity,
of silence and of beauty.

When I look upon such places
of natural beauty,
all my tensions, my apprehensions,
my anger, my sorrow
just seem to wither away.

I do not know the kind of feeling it is,
It just can’t be described in words,
That tells me that this isn't
the end of the world.

The feeling that calms me and inspires me
To give in more, and more
Cause all this and much more
will come back to me in form of tremendous joy.

The  beautiful birds flying in the sky
seem to teach me, how important
companionship is, and how important it is
for people to communicate and just be
together for each other.

The islands far far away in the ocean
seem  to tell me,
that your goals look just as far
as you want to see them.
And that the actual distance is much less
than what you thought.

The beautiful green trees,
with flowers in various hues,
teach me that life is a colourful vibrant rainbow
and it is only our view and perception
that makes it dull and gray.

The snowy peaks looking peaceful from down the plains,
but actually, so opposite,
teach me that the perfect man
will always keep a brave face in the worst of times.
And also, that the judgement of someone from outside
can actually prove to be just the opposite.

The green fields teach me how
important it is to grow and nurture.
And that true happiness can be gained
by selflessly providing for others.

And, then I feel that we know so much,
by merely looking at the natural beauty
and by deep introspection
then why,
Why is it so difficult to change?
